Mark Johnson - FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Mark Johnson was born in Chicago in 1949 but has spent most of his life in Switzerland. He studied philosophy at the University of Arizona and has an M.F.A. from Bard College, New York. He served as the head of the Arts Department at Institute Montana, an international school in central Switzerland and is the co-founder and artistic director of “stringsaTTached”, a company based in Zürich that performs original shows in English and German with mainly Swiss themes and original music. “stringsaTTached” has performed often at the Garage International at both the Edinburgh Fringe and the Avignon Off. “Confessions of a Cultural Spy” is the first one-man show produced by the company.
Géraldine Dulex, 1982 geboren in Brüssel, aufgewachsen in der Schweiz und in den USA, studierte an der Northwestern University in Chicago, wo sie mit dem Bachelor in Theater und 'International Studies' abschloss. Als Mitglied der Theatergruppe stringsaTTached stand sie in vier Eigenproduktionen in der Schweiz und in Edinburg/ Schottland auf der Bühne. Kürzlich war sie an der Lyric Opera Chicago und im Detroit Opera House in der Sprechrolle in der von David Pountney inszenierten Oper„The Passenger“ zu sehen. Sie wird diese Rolle im Frühling 2016 an der Florida Grand Opera in Miami wieder aufnehmen. In New York ist Géraldine Dulex ein Ensemble Mitglied des Broken Box Mime Theaters, welches 2014 den Innovative Theater Award für Outstanding Ensemble gewann. Sie war in über 20 weiteren Theaterproduktionen in Chicago und New York zu sehen, unter anderem spielte sie die Hauptrolle in der amerikanischen Erstaufführungen in Howard Barker’s „Minna“ und in Emilio Williams’ „Tables and Bed“. Auch stand sie in Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater auf der Bühne. Für ihre Solo Show „Fawn“, welche sie am Edinburgh Fringe Festival aufführte, erhielt sie einen Förderbeitrag des Kantons Zug. www.geraldinedulex.com
Eliane Iten

Eliane Iten was born in Baar, Switzerland but grew up in the Engadin valley. After graduating from the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, she moved to Zürich where she began her acting studies at the European Film Acting School. In 2007 she completed the conservatory training program at Stella Adler Studio in New York City. In 2008, Eliane joined stringsaTTached for the production “1913 or Nudes Descending a Staircase.” She has worked in many theater and film projects in Switzerland and abroad. Recently she portrayed the role of Nathalie in Peter Luisi’s award winning film “Schweizer Helden.” www.eliane-iten.com
Geboren in Baar (ZG), wächst im Engadin auf, wo sie die romanischsprachige Grundschule besucht und 2001 ihren Abschluss am Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz absolviert. Im selben Jahr zieht Eliane Iten nach Zürich und macht an der European Film Acting School ihre Ausbildung zur Schauspielerin. Danach wirkt sie in verschiedenen Theaterpojekten in Zürich und Basel mit. Nach einem weiteren Schauspielstudium am Stella Adler Studio of Acting New York 2007, wo sie sich zusätzliche Kenntnisse holt und ihre Facetten als Schauspielerin nachhaltig erweitert, zieht Eliane Iten nach Berlin. Seither wirkte sie in verschiedenen Theaterstücken und Filmproduktionen im In- und Ausland mit, unter Anderem am Fringe Festival Edinburgh 2008, wo sie zum ersten Mal mit stringsaTTached und Sarah Bellin arbeitet. Seit 2010 lebt sie in Zürich und spielt zuletzt die Rolle der Natalie in "Schweizer Helden" von Peter Luisi, (Piazza Grande, 67. Festival del Film Locarno) und drehte im Herbst diesen Jahres mit Jann Preuss für seinen neuen Film “Frosch”. Eliane Iten arbeitet auch als Sprecherin und war unter anderem von 2013 - 2015 war sie für Vega Film / Ruth Waldburger tätig.
Stefan Kollmuss
Stefan discovered the theatre rather late and rather by accident, but was awarded an actor’s bursary in Ireland almost instantly. After two years of training in Dublin and a two-year stay in Los Angeles he returned to Europe. Since then he has appeared in more than 60 features and short films abroad and in Switzerland (among others «Spital in Angst», «S’Isch mer alles ei Ding» and «Aime ton Père» with Gérard Dépardieu). On stage he is known from the Swiss premiere of Falk Richter’s «Gott ist ein DJ» and «Un Tapis Rouge pour Sophie T.» by Nelly Büttikofer as well as the current solo pieces «Franziskus – Gaukler Gottes» by Dario Fo (where he plays more than 30 different parts) and «Traumjobs» by Jon von Düffel. Stefan Kollmuss lives in Zürich.
Stefan Kollmuss entdeckte das Theater an der Institut Montana (via Mark Johnson) und eher zufällig, erhielt dann aber prompt ein Schauspiel-Stipendium in Irland. Nach einer zweijährigen Ausbildung in Dublin und einem zweijährigen Aufenthalt in Los Angeles kehrte er auf den europäischen Kontinent zurück. Seither hat er in über 60 Spiel- und Kurzfilmen im In- und Ausland gespielt (u.a. «Spital in Angst», «S’Isch mer alles ei Ding» und «Aime ton Père» mit Gérard Dépardieu). Im Theaterbereich kennt man ihn etwa aus der Schweizer Premiere von Falk Richters «Gott ist ein DJ» und «Un Tapis Rouge pour Sophie T» von Nelly Büttikofer sowie den aktuellen Solostücken «Franziskus – Gaukler Gottes» von Dario Fo (in dem er über 30 verschiedene Rollen spielt) und «Traumjobs» von Jon von Düffel. Stefan Kollmuss lebt in Zürich und freut sich endlich in ein Strings Attached Aufführung auftreten zu dürfen.
Sarah Bellin
Sarah Bellin is a native New Yorker with Master degrees in Directing from the New School for Drama as well as the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
She has been working as a freelance theater director since 2011. Recent productions include: My Golden Girl (Hudson Guild Theater, NYC), A Tribute (Theatre for a New City, NYC), Mermaids & Spritzolators (Lower East Side Festival of the Arts NYC), #Let’s Clean up the Water (Figment Festival, Governor’s Island), A stage adaptation of Tolstoy's The Kreutzer Sonata (Theater Keller62), Chekhov's 'The Cherry Orchard' (Turbine Theater), and Max Frisch's 'The Arsonists' (Theater Purpurrot). Sarah first collaborated with stringsaTTached in 2008 during the production '1913 or Nudes Descending a Staircase,' where she served as live violinist & performer in the Swiss and Scottish tour.
ALICE FIEDLER
Alice Fiedler was born in Berlin, but has lived in Zurich Switzerland for half of her life.
She is an original member of stringsaTTached and has performed in the trilogy "a Flight into Time" at the Edinburgh and Avignon Fringe Festivals.
She studied scenography at the Zurich University of Arts. She holds an M.F.A. from Brooklyn College in Media Studies. Moreover, she has also served as Costume Designer on numerous stringsaIIached productions.
David Wylie
David was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He has worked with stringsaTTached since July 2005 on various shows in Edinburgh, Avignon and Switzerland as lighting designer, composer and technical manager.
Recently David has been touring the UK as lighting designer for a variety of bands.
He spent two years living in Tokyo, working with the Tokyo International Players and Japanese physical theatre and dance companies.
